Tyre Pressure Fault
WarningAt vehicle startup, this warning light will briefly illuminate then turn off during the system self-check – this indicates the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) is functioning normally. If the system develops a fault, the light will illuminate again. If the TPMS warning light illuminates or flashes while the instrument display shows 'Please check tyre pressure monitoring system' and the pressure readings display '---', this indicates a TPMS malfunction. A 'signal abnormal' message suggests interference with the tyre pressure signal at your current location, or possible damage to the monitoring module. If the warning light remains steadily lit while one or more tyre pressure values turn yellow on the display, the corresponding tyre(s) are underinflated. If any tyre temperature values appear yellow, this indicates the tyre(s) are overheating.
If any of these situations occur, contact a BYD authorised service centre as soon as possible to have your vehicle inspected. Before driving, visually check your tyres for obvious leaks, punctures, or damage. If tyre pressure is low, inflate to the recommended pressure immediately.
- —Puncture or slow tyre leak
- —Tyre pressure below minimum (typically 35 PSI)
- —TPMS sensor battery dead
- —Temperature change causing pressure drop
