ABS Fault
WarningDuring vehicle start-up, the ABS warning light briefly illuminates as part of the system self-check, then turns off to indicate the anti-lock braking system is operating normally. If a fault develops, the light will remain on until the issue is resolved. When illuminated (provided the parking brake warning light is off), the ABS function is disabled, though standard braking and the parking brake remain fully operational. While the anti-lock feature is unavailable when this light is on, your vehicle will retain conventional braking ability similar to a car without ABS.
Arrange for inspection at a BYD authorised service centre as soon as possible. A fault is indicated if the warning light fails to illuminate when starting the vehicle, stays on continuously, or activates during driving. Important: If both the ABS and parking brake warning lights illuminate simultaneously while the brake pedal is fully released, this indicates a failure of the front-to-rear brake force distribution system. Immediately pull over in a safe location and contact a BYD authorised service centre.
