Auto High Beam Fault
InfoBYD · Lighting
What does this warning light mean?
This indicates a fault with the Intelligent High Beam system. This feature uses a forward-facing camera to detect oncoming traffic and tail lights of vehicles ahead, automatically switching between high and low beam to prevent dazzling other drivers. When faulty, the automatic switching is disabled and you must manually control your headlights.
Can I drive?
Yes — safe to drive
What to do
Contact a BYD authorised service centre to have the system inspected and repaired. Until fixed, manually switch between high and low beam when driving at night. Ensure you dip to low beam when approaching oncoming traffic to avoid dazzling other drivers.
