Major software update described as making the Dolphin smarter. Rolled out in batches across Europe from late October 2025. Improvements to assistant interface, display settings, language options, voice controls, and volume adjustments.

Charger stopped working after one year. 4 days to get appointment, another week to diagnose. Faulty charger not covered under warranty, replacement costs $1000. Very slow response from BYD.

Sunroof and huge windscreen make cabin very hot in Australian summers. Seat hole within 2 months, BYD refused to fix. Air conditioner blew hot air during heatwave, 2-month wait for booking.

Exceeded expectations over 5.5 months and 15,000km. Battery tech class leading, running costs average $5 per 100km. Completed 1200km Sydney to Broken Hill in single day.

Impressive quality interior. Comfortable and responsive drive. Safety aids work exactly as expected. Brilliant drive.

Nice car to drive and super quiet on the motorway. Cheap to run. Main downside: takes 24 hours to fully charge at home.
